Key Responsibilities
As a Home Child Care Provider, your responsibilities will include:
- Household Management: Take full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
- Child Supervision: Provide attentive care and supervision for children of different ages.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Travel Assistance: Travel with the family on trips and provide child supervision as needed.
- Child Discipline: Implement discipline and routines according to the parents’ guidelines.
- Child Well-being: Ensure the emotional well-being and safety of the children at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Language: Fluent in English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Experience: 1 to less than 2 years of relevant child care experience
- Work Environment: This role is on-site at the employer’s home (no remote work option)
- Work Conditions: Repetitive tasks and attention to detail are required
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Security: Must pass a criminal record check
- Transportation: Public transportation is available
