About the Position

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Personal Care: Administer bedside and personal care to ensure the well-being of the client.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications as prescribed and monitor the client’s health.
- Physical Assistance: Help clients with regular exercise, such as walking, and assist them in water activities like swimming.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to the client’s dietary needs.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundering and mending clothing and linens.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, enhancing the client’s quality of life.
- Shopping: Shop for food and household supplies to maintain a well-stocked home.
- Therapeutic Activities: Plan and implement therapeutic diets and activities that promote the client’s physical and mental well-being.
Qualifications
Education:
- No formal degree required; however, relevant certifications are mandatory.
Experience:
- 1 to 7 months of caregiving experience preferred.
Languages:
- Fluent in English.
Work Environment:
- Non-smoking
- Work in a rural setting with staff accommodation provided
Certifications:
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate

Work Conditions:
- The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with repetitive tasks and the possibility of overtime.
- The position involves handling loads up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
